Le moment où: Travel, Food, Family and Memories: The Unfolding in Calayo Beach

Summer is everything for everybody. Even workaholics will find a way to get an excuse for an exclusive summer break. Batangas has always been the favorite destination for our team building, since it is near Manila and it offers a wide range of summer activities.

The team escapade was planned before the Holy Week, this is to give way for those who will take a break with their family during the long Holy Week vacation.

For this year, the team wanted to have a more exclusive place for themselves, so they have choosen Calayo Beach, one of the undiscovered beach spot in Batangas.

This team building is tagged as “The Unfolding of Self -Inhibitions”. Office workaholics devour and get drowned on their work loads – so this trip is planned to unfold their alter-ego.

To make the trip wholesome and complete, kids are allowed to come along to enjoy the gift of summer – swimming.

Call Time:

Unlike work, there are no memo's for late comers. The call time is around 4:00 AM, but the group patiently waited until 5:00 AM to get everyone on the bus. After all, the fun is never complete when someone is missing.

Enticing Temptation:

Along the way, enticing stop overs are experienced. The group passed by Sky Ranch and of course it is still not accessible at that time – the group got contented though to take pictures for memory keeps.

Also, one guy caught someone’s attention --- she even took a picture of him for keeps. J

Finally – The Destination:

The place was swarmed with vegetation and the place was just warm enough for a whole day swimming escapade. Of course, the group achieved what they wanted for this trip – exclusivity. The area is not highly marketed, thus the place was occupied exclusively by the team. To match the beauty of the view the muse of the group gave her killer pose to match the beauty of Calayo Beach.

The beach is built with the basic amenities, there are beach huts available to cater local tourist and visitors. Showers are also available to get the saltiness out after the whole day swimming by the beach. Beach huts are big enough to accommodate everybody for the one whole day affair.

The On-Site Preparation:

Of course any escapade is not complete without the star of the group. This trip triggered the unfolding of talents. It was discovered that one of our colleagues has an intense passion to be a chef. Originally, the plan was to cook “dinakdakan” (local kilawin dish) on site, but due to some alcohol intoxication the recipe was transformed into something unique – “Nilasing na Baboy sa Suka at Luya” . For this escapade, this is the centerpiece. It will surely be remembered.

The Unfolding:

While the kids enjoys the sun and the sea. The not so grown up adults started to unfold their alter ego's. The fashionista's adorned the beach with their outfit for the day and the guys started to bond over some bottle of liquors. Of course, everybody gets to enjoy each others company until the sun started to set to end the day.
